Why is it the poorer people are, the less they seem to complain? During an out of power I'll get an old time rancher who can barely rub two nickels together call in happy as a peach to let us know. Meanwhile, some guy in a condo downtown, 20 minutes into the outage, is buying ice in a full blown panic to save his refridgerator goods and calling me giving me holy hell like it's my personal fault this has happened. I believe lightning to fall under the category of "shit happens". It's not in the best interest of the power company to have your power off. /Rant off...

here's my personal mantra/part of my morning meditation:
"i am impervious to the negative comments, actions or deeds of others. i am impervious to guilt, worry or fear.

i am highly sensitive to beauty: to the beauty of nature, the beauty of all people, the beauty of love and interconnectedness of all things."

i say, as your loving and partially enlightened sister, spend as much time as possible on the phone with kind and loving people who appreciate your help. and spend as little time as possible on the phone with the others while still getting the job done professionally. don't let their bad attitude seep in your skin - let negativity roll off your skin like rain rolls right off an umbrella - let the drips hit the ground - not your disposition.
